Pre-employment Program (PEP)
What is the Pre-Employment Program (PEP)?
Ever wonder what it's like to work at our DJ Cafe? Now is your opportunity to find out! Join our 8 week, 2 part PEP classes to learn new skills and gain confidence to take out into our community. You will learn new skills in the classroom and get to put them to the test in our DJ Cafe, gaining work experience to add to your resume. But it doesn't stop there! You will also get to learn how to select a job, build a resume and practice your interview skills.
PEP runs for eight weeks and consists of two parts: classroom learning and work experience. Classroom learning is available on Tuesdays, offering two classroom time slots. Work experience is held onsite in our CSCO DJ Cafe on Thursdays, offering four time slots.
Classroom sizes are limited to six participants per time slots to ensure everyone gets the one-on-one help they might need. Work experience is limited to 3 participants per time slot to ensure proper supervision and help is provided while working in the DJ Cafe.
The Pre-employment Program is limited to 12 spots. Both portions of classes must be taken in conjunction with each other.
